About Coach

My past experiences in athletics include playing football for ten years, baseball for nine years, and volleyball for seven years. Previous accolades I have acquired through sports include being a two time district and league volleyball champion, a former Coordinated Health Athlete of the Week Scholarship recipient, Captain of the Emmaus Men’s Volleyball Team, and the first player to receive a scholarship from Chatham University to play Volleyball during their first year of being a D-III program. During my Freshman year of high school athletics, I dislocated my right knee. This injury started a trend towards my athletic success and my future career in athletic/personal training. After my injury, I dedicated myself to being the best athlete I could be off the court through training with the head lifting coach at Lehigh University throughout the rest of my high school career. Not only was I able to attain power and speed through working at Lehigh, I was able to transfer those aspects, and more, into my skill on the court. I can say with 100% confidence that I would not have been more than an average player if it was not for my trainer, Eric. Because of him I was able to travel the country while playing club volleyball at the national level and even had a chance to play internationally. Since I have retired from being a volleyball athlete, I have received a Kinesiology Degree- exercise science emphasis from Penn State Berks. There I found a true passion for physical therapy, biomechanics, sports psychology and anatomy

Turning Point

The major turning point in my life relating to athletics and training is when I decided that I was tired of knowing that there was more I could be doing to make myself a better athlete. Win, lose, or tie I wanted to be sure that I worked harder than anyone else to achieve my goals through training. Since High School, when I decided to dedicate my time and energy into progression through fitness, there were always two quotes I relied on for internal strength and motivation. “Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up” - Rocky Balboa. “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose” - Dillon Panthers Football Team from Friday Night Lights.

Motivation & Passion

Seeing my youth athletes progress and make strides they did not think were possible is the foundation for what keeps me going. When I started as an intern, I had no CrossFit experience or background in the sport, but between my previous experiences in sports and training and the coaches at CFT, I developed a true passion for training the next generation of athletes as well as our athletes just looking to make their daily life more functional and healthy.
